Carla Valenti

Carla Valenti is an Ohio-based representational painter specializing in florals, still life, figures and portraits. Through independent study from Old Master works and building on her early training at the Columbus College of Art and Design, she has worked to develop a process that is highly descriptive of the subject but also emphasizes craftsmanship and a love of the medium. Concentrating on draftsmanship and traditional oil painting techniques, Carla uses a warm, restricted palette to create her images. In her compositions viewers discover subtle emotional content embedded within a powerful representation of reality.

Carla has participated in several one- and two-person exhibitions and has been included in many group shows, earning inclusion in numerous collections throughout the United States.
